A Fine Bouquet
(“Be humble and
give more honor to others than to yourselves.” Philippians 2:3b)Impulsive, let me.
Toddlers low to the ground
blowing bubbles,
sending gray-haired dandelions
around the yard.
Chromatic, free me.
From the brush’s edge to the
canvassed sky,
let absurdity fly, clouds and
dust and sand and all.
Extensive, send me.
Toddlers walking like
bumblebees, yellow weeds in
hand.
A fine bouquet.
